Feel free to post cool things or your frustrations from your commute today or home from last night.

I saw a brand new "ultra fuel efficient" Elantra for the first time this morning. I think these fuel efficient cars are starting to use bicycle tires.

Only other thing to report was that someone made a drift track out of the parking lot I use and the adjacent road. I had to test it out this morning as well, couldn't keep up to the sideways snow tracks.

Commute to class was boring, damp roads and it's 30 degrees.

Commute home in the Forester will be fun, it hasn't started snowing yet but they expect so much snow that a lot of public highschools around here closed today anyways. My sister didn't even go to class because she is worried about not making it home.

Personally 6+ inches of snow is nothing for my new car it's awesome.

Beautiful morning here in Tulsa. Windows down and M mode engaged to hear my lovely S65. Left early so traffic was light. No one in front of me on the onramp, so I got a nice, long 3rd gear blast before slowing down to merge on the freeway. No fuzz in sight. Got to my office early enough to grab a bacon and egg croissant downstairs.

Can't complain, except for the fact that it's 67 degrees outside and I'm not.

My E30 doesn't do in the snow. Got it stuck in my driveway in 3" on flat ground.

My Forester literally drove through 16-20 inches of snow. It's got real beefy snows and it's like an Impreza but dat ground clearance.

T-tops off with just the steady burble from my lopey, cammed V6 and having fun rowing through 6 speeds.

This morning sucked. Cold-ish at 45, but the wind is 20+mph out of the north with dust on the way...

Quite cold. But it is warming up which is nice. The miata heater warms up really fast which is a joy. The transmission seems to be shifting better after putting in some motorcraft $22/qt. fluid after removing the mobil 1 garbage. I am getting better at clutch modulation from a stop. (its been a while since I DD a manual.) I think I want to study up and perfect my manual tranmission skills.

There is this one stop sign that I turn right at it has dust and gravel and its always fun to make the LSD to its magic.

Smooth sailing to work. Except for slugs and people who like to hang right beside me and match my speed or hang in blind spot for some reason. I never get why people do that!

I posted one of these last week too, I'm glad it's becoming a regular thing!

My commute today was AWESOME. Took 280 south instead of 101 (for non-SF/silicon valley ians , that means nice curvy sweeping freeway through greenery and mountains instead of shitty traffic through industrial highway). Longer route, but there was no traffic and took the same amount of time. MUCH nicer start to my day.

Drove the E30 today (because there's some weird rubbing noise against one of the tires in my Subaru so parked it after driving a block) - almost forgot how smooth and composed it is even at 80+MPH doing 4000RPM. Damn windshield washer fluid squirter thing apparently decided to stop working though...and "low beams" check light came on after I drove over a huge bump in a construction zone. Gotta love old cars.

Was passed by a E46 M3 (not uncommon in these parts at all, but it was the deep dark blue color, probably my favourite on the E46) and drove behind him for a while.

Nothing else particularly memorable...no idiots swerving all over the road with their phones stuck to their face is always a good thing though.

This is how I did it.

Signal on.

Look for space in the target lane.

Check mirror, see room one behind the car I'm next to.

wait for space.

Find space, allow car 1 to pass, check mirror.

Merge in between car 1 and car 2.

Car 2 expresses their disapproval.

Why does car 2 express their disapproval? Because I cut them off. Why did I cut them off? I don't know, ask them.. They're the ones that mashed the gas and closed the door when they realized I wanted to merge.

My campus is 20 minutes away. And my class starts in a few hours, but I'll tell you how my commute is every Tues and Thurs. Leave pad at 2:00 then start a "Time-Attack" mode all the way to my school and on the way back

I take a road that is both highway and back-road and I drive at an ease of 75-80. at most. Normal speed for Californians here. I have no driving record-ish.
